Overview.
We have fitted all-terrain tires, possibly the primary thing that will make the most difference to the van’s off-road capabilities, having the correct tire presser for the conditions will also make a huge difference, so a pump and presser gauge will be essential. (see wheel & tyre maintenance equipment).
We also have snow chains, (possibly the second most useful thing after the tyers (or third if presher is included), when it comes to traction for all four wheels.
For bridging and sand/mud recovery we now have a set of aluminum sand ladders, so we are evaluating if any of the waffle boards we have will be of use to us (it is still possible some of them could get used as a central walkway on the roof rack.
We will probably sell the remaining waffle boards when we have established which thickness of board is the best for us, or possibly just keep them to experiment/play with.
Items in “grey” are still to-do.
Items in “mauve” need to be fixed, replaced, or upgraded or we need more.
