Dashboard modifications.

Overview.
Since we first got the van there have been quite a few additions and a lot more planned. Therefore, along with upgrading the old wiring in the van, it seemed logical to upgrade the whole dash to allow for the new and planned additions, all in one go.

       The old dash.
Artist’s impression of the planned work, (what I hope to achieve).
The new dashboard. (the job list and work in progress).

Fabricating the new dashboard, (the metalwork, current progress).

The old dashboard layout.

The temperature gauge is now redundant, as it will be part of the clock binnacle.

Light switches are currently where the vent grill was, (the vent grill will be replaced in the new dashboard).

Planned dashboard modifications.
(artist impression, third draft ).

(Switches are for illustration only, see switch connections for more info).

The air vent will be refitted & the dashboard will be modified for the new switches,

The recessed compartment & lid.
